Connect4 Genesis is my first simple graphical user interface project, a classic Connect4 game where two players can compete locally, selecting their own piece colors. It also offers the option to play against an AI opponent. This project marks my initial foray into GUI programming, showcasing my early exploration into interactive applications.
Connect4 Online expands upon Connect4 Genesis by introducing server-based gameplay capabilities. Currently under development, this project aims to enable players to compete in Connect4 games remotely over the internet. Stay tuned as I continue to enhance this project to bring multiplayer functionality to this classic game.
Rock Paper Scissors Online is a server-based Java application that enables players to participate in the classic game of Rock Paper Scissors over a network. As my second ever GUI project, this application showcases my advancing proficiency in crafting interactive experiences and managing client-server interactions. It signifies a pivotal stage where I have acquired essential skills in application development, inspiring me to further apply this knowledge in upcoming personal projects. Given that I currently, know nothing about web applications, I am excited because I've challenged myself to figure out how to replicate my application to a Web Application. I am employing all of my research skills to figure this one out. I'll have to come back here when I actually learn this in class and do a reflection on how teaching certain parts of this to myself feels versus learning it in a course!
